How can a small business start using AI?

Write down the tasks you repeat every week, pick one low-risk one, and give the AI a short brief about your business before asking for a draft. A person checks every output before it reaches a customer. Add the next task only once the first one works.

Is it safe to put customer data into AI tools?

It depends on the tool, the plan you're on and its data settings, and on the privacy rules where you work. A safe default is to remove names and personal details, use tools your business has reviewed, and check your local rules. This isn't legal advice.

Which tasks should I use AI for first?

Repeated, low-risk drafting work: routine emails, summaries, first drafts of posts, FAQs and internal notes. Keep a person in charge of anything involving money, legal terms, sensitive feedback or promises to customers.
